Gary: I signed up for the 4.4 seminar Jeremy's giving at the national convention in Chicago and asked the same question, and they said it's not out yet. My guess is it will come out at the time of the seminar or shortly before.
Version 4.4 is a major update. It is still in testing, and will be debuted at the National convention in Chicago next month. It may not be ready for general release until a few weeks later.
AutoMagic is one of the most exciting additions to Version 4.4, and represents another major leap forward in artificial intelligence for CAT software. No CAT software has ever been as easy to use as Eclipse with AutoMagic.
Simply stated, put your cursor anywhere on the screen, and AutoMagic will intuit what you want to do next. Available actions appear on the screen in order of likelihood. Just press a number (usually "1") to perform the action.
Because AutoMagic also displays the speed keys to accomplish the various functions, users will be able to learn them by simple osmosis. With AutoMagic, new users should be able to begin producing transcripts immediately -- without opening the manual or viewing tutorials.
Another of my personal favorites in Version 4.4 is the ability to proofread transcripts on the Amazon Kindle. Just select a function to export your job to the Kindle, and another function to import the job back into Eclipse, complete with notes and bookmarks.
