Could someone please explain the difference between Dragon 10 Professional and Preferred? It's such a huge difference in price. I'm switching from VV to Dragon and just want to know is it really necessary to purchase the Professional version?
Thanks for your help.
"The main problem that you would have with DNS Preferred is that if you should get a new computer or need a new hard drive, you would need to train a new voice user. Other than that, you should be fine using DNS Preferred."
There's a lot of work that goes into creating a new user. The thought of having to do that all over again each time I upgrade to the latest laptop makes me wanna slit my throat. I think it's well worth the extra money to have the professional version. Personally, I would not recommend preferred to anyone.

You can use either Preferred or Professional with version 4.3 of Eclipse.

Thanks, Caryl. That's what I thought. After comparing the two, since I'm not concerned with multiple users, I guess the question is this: Do I want to pay 750 extra dollars to be able to combine commands to perform complex tasks on my PC?
One day I probably will want to be able to do that; however, since I'm a brand new user, I'm thinking I'll start with the preferred and upgrade to the professional as my accuracy improves.
Do you think it will make that much of a difference, say, in the first year of training?
