We are excited to bring you on Sunday, February 10th, our the 2nd Annual Eclipse Winter Retreat Realtime Competition. We are going to send someone home with a giant trophy!
Last year, we began our new tradition of having a hands-on REALTIME LAB with none other than our head programmer, Jeremy Thorne. This year's lab will be held on Sunday. And ask and you shall receive... Julie Samford will spend Sunday teaching you how to use Eclipse's amazing auto-indexing feature. We will offer Vox, beginner, intermediate and advanced classes on Friday and Saturday. It's going to be our BEST WINTER RETREAT EVER in 2019, and we want you to be there!
8:00 am – 8:45 am
We will have a warm-up period before the official dictation begins. We would encourage everyone to participate, regardless of skill level. You never know! You are also welcome to watch even if you don't participate. Top three contestants will take home trophies. Winners will be announced at 2:30 pm.
This will be a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves realtime lab. Bring your equipment, and Jeremy will bring you his best tips and tricks for better realtime.
This will be for ALL LEVELS, steno and voice. Whether you provide realtime output for attorneys or not, let's make your translation rate something to be proud of!
We will also do a live demonstration of Connection Magic shared editing where everyone can log in and help scope a job together. Jeremy will go over setting up Bridge Mobile without using the internet, and we can all log in as attorneys to view the realtime feed.
If you've always wanted to use Eclipse's powerful auto-indexing, now is the time to learn! Julie will give you a set of pre-made index files. She will guide you through creating, editing and using automatic indexing and show you what files need the secret code and where to place it. You will also learn how to do the caption box (birdcage), how to use form fields for repetitive blanks, as well as how to make an attorney pick list that displays all the clients you regularly work with so you don't have to type them in every day.
You'll also learn how to include the title and certificate pages automatically, as well as how to read them in during realtime or later when editing. This class is appropriate for both steno and voice.
