Trainer Qualifications & Bio

Mark Kislingbury, CSR, RDR, CRR, FAPR

Mark Kislingbury launched his career as a freelance court reporter in 1983 in Houston, Texas, and has more than 40 years of experience in the reporting profession. A pioneer in realtime reporting, he has won 13 NCRA speed and realtime contests.

Mark earned a Guinness World Record in 2004 for typing 360 wpm, then surpassed it in 2022 with 370 wpm. In 2023, he set another record by transcribing a 5-minute test at 320 wpm with 97.5% accuracy.

He is the author of four court reporting books, founder of the Magnum Steno Club, and founder of the Mark Kislingbury Academy of Court Reporting, established in 2011. He also developed the Magnum Steno Theory and published "My System: The Road to Realtime Excellence." Mark lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife and three adult children.
