This session addresses the practical and technical demands of remote court reporting in high-pressure virtual environments. Emphasis is placed on maintaining control of the record, ensuring audio integrity, and sustaining accuracy during fast-paced remote testimony. Remote proceedings do not slow down just because you are working from home. Depositions conducted over platforms such as WebEx, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom can quickly become chaotic.
Using Eclipse Vox 12, attendees will learn best practices for configuring their CAT software in a single-computer setup, managing remote audio sources, and applying tools that support efficient realtime capture and post-proceeding production. The session focuses on strategies that improve reliability, consistency, and workflow efficiency in remote proceedings.
Learning Objectives:
- Configure Eclipse Vox 12 settings for optimal performance in remote proceedings
- Apply best practices to maintain control of the record in Zoom-based depositions (zepos), WebEx, and Microsoft Teams
- Manage overlapping speakers and interruptions in remote testimony
- Configure and manage audio sources effectively
- Apply Boost and Boost Edit tools to improve accuracy and production efficiency
Built around real-world reporting under pressure—unstable audio, cross-talk, rapid-fire questioning, and zero tolerance for mistakes—this session teaches you how to configure your system properly, stay in control when things get messy, and use Vox tools to protect the record in real time and clean it up efficiently afterward.
If you have ever finished a remote job thinking, “That audio almost took me out,” this class is for you.
