Transitioning from Dragon: Modernize Your Dragon Workflow is a standalone transition experience for voicewriters who already know EclipseVox and have been writing with Dragon. Under the Realtime Voice Writing Theory identity, it helps experienced users protect what already works while gaining a cleaner, more current recognition workflow with Speechmatics. Participants compare what remains familiar, identify what behaves differently, and translate Dragon-era writing habits into intentional VOCAB management. Guided exercises let participants test alternatives, solve recurring problem words, and build confidence without losing the realtime practices they already know.
Learning Outcomes
- Describe the key workflow differences between Dragon and Speechmatics while preserving the EclipseVox skills that still apply.
- Verify the Speechmatics setup, audio path, and user configuration needed for reliable practice.
- Translate Dragon-era shorthand habits into intentional VOCAB management and pronunciation choices.
- Use guided correction and vocabulary maintenance practices to improve output without creating avoidable conflicts.
- Complete a transition exercise and leave with a personal plan for moving daily writing from Dragon to Speechmatics.
