Amy Armstrong is a freelance court reporter and instructor with over a decade of experience as a working court reporter and captioner in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. An alumna of the International Realtime Court Reporting Institute, she teaches theory, Dragon Speech Recognition Engine, and Eclipse CAT software.
Amy continues to cover complex litigation continentwide, providing realtime transcription in criminal courts, as well as high-profile captioning for world leaders and celebrities. She has served on the Board of Directors of the National Verbatim Reporters Association.
As “Stenovox” on Instagram, Amy shares engaging, educational content that challenges industry norms and reimagines the role of the voicewriting stenographer.
